Morné Louw
ARCHITECT-IN-TRAINING
Maria was born in Windhoek and earned her qualifications from the Namibia University of Science and Technology. During her studies, she worked as a Junior Researcher at the university, under the Institute for Land, Livelihoods, and Housing, contributing to projects such as Participatory Slum Upgrading in Namibia and Urban Diagnostics and Slum Upgrading Strategies in Namibia.
Maria was recognised as the Best Student in both her first and second year of the Master of Architecture program and graduated with distinction for her thesis. Her academic journey nurtured a strong interest in building material innovation, particularly in creating recycled bricks and artistic works.
