ARCHITECT-IN-TRAINING
I have been employed at Una Stuurmann Architects since 2016 as a senior technologist. I recently completed a Master’s of Architecture at the Namibia University of Science of Technology whilst being a full time employee. This proved to be very challenging. However, I persevered and overcame all the demanding challenges of a Master's course, whilst reaching deadlines at the office, raising a toddler and being a supportive husband. The last 2 years has improved my organisational skills, ability to work under pressure and my ability to produce results.
In 2007 I started as a student at Bob Mould Architects, to gain insight into the construction industry and experience, whilst saving up to pursue my studies. I completed my National Diploma 2011, and worked for one year before
pursuing my Bachelor’s of technology degree in 2013. I then continued to work from 2014 - 2017 as a Senior Architectural Technologist, before embarking on Bachelor of Architecture Honours degree in 2018. I have gained vast experience in various design projects, where I was tasked with conceptual design proposals, technical documentation, site inspection and contract administration. My experience ranges from Low Cost Housing, High End Housing, Urban design, Intensive care unit additions, forensic science laboratories, Veterinary school labs, to government headquarter buildings and various safety and security projects.
